Don?t Shop there, I worked there and it?s horrible and the furniture is rubbish.
In order to make a decent salary you have to work long hours like 55-60 hours a week and stalk customer via the phone.
I lost orders because the furniture didn't get made in the time period that the POS quoted which made me look like a liar to the angry customers that decided to cancel the orders. Have furniture already made, no one wants to wait weeks for their furniture.
Also, the so call fabric called Durablend is like the Frankenstein Monster it's made of 17 percent of scraps of leather, some cotton and polyurethane (plastic). Doesn't that sound wonderful. And the regular "cloth" fabric they use is polyester.
They also try to sell you this furniture protection using fear tactics that is rubbish, because when something does happen to your furniture, they don't honor it. They just call it normal wear.
They also have the LIST price and the SALE price on tags which is just rubbish as well.
I could have done well if I was willing to give up my life for this place and give up my morals.
There is a reason why they have high turnover, the floor is flooded with desperate sales people.
Lastly the training is horrible and too complicated. And when you try to get a short to the point answer you a lecture, you get nothing but a lot of words that don't answer your simple question.

Vickie,
Did you get any paper work that says you can exchange the mattress? Is there any advertising that states you are able to exchange the mattress? If not, unfortunately the store has you by the nuts so to speak. If it isn't a warranty issue, you are probably stuck with the mattress that you purchased.

Tim,
Sorry to hear this happened to you and your family...you could try to put some glue on the raised areas of the table and clamp it down. Just curious, what style number was the table, maybe I could give some other ideas on how to fix this piece.

No Ashley furniture is CRAP!!! After two years the wood veneer is coming under glued on our living room tables and what is so sad we never use this room. the tables are just for looks. Now I walk into the room and all I can see with I turn on the light is the wood veneer popping up. And then I think my children aren't going to want this CRAP!!! There is no quality at all in there furniture. After a little research I found out they make a line for J.C.Penny's and the standers are higher than their own.

This has to be the most poorly manufactured and finished dining room table and chairs I have seen and unfortunately bought. Chair cushions sag terribly. The finish on the table is literally flaking and peeling.

Daniel, if yoiu purchased this stuff new, there is a one year warranty on the items. You should be able to get it replaced. Hopefully you still have a copy of the warranty that came with the items. Read it and bring it up to the store you purchased this stuff from. If you purchased it as is or clearanced, it's considered exactly that, as is...hope this helped...

B. Ray, this is quite typical of the Ashley Homestores. If you could find a store that sells Ashley Furniture and other manufacturers items, that would have been a better idea. The smaller furniture stores are way easier to work with because they want to keep the customer base. Thing is, Ashley Homestores have cornered the market on selling Ashley goods and only Ashley goods. I know of quite a few smaller furniture stores that have access to the Ashley products and aren't as strict with this delivery fiasco you had to deal with. It won't do any good to call the factory, because they will just have you call the company/store you bought your items from. It sucks, I know. But if everyone that comes on here would realize the smaller dealers can and should price match the Ashley Homestores prices. Why not, at least then your service is there instead of talking to tons of idiots on phone calls and not getting anywhere with the Homestores. Sorry this happened to you, you also have to realize that Ashley Furniture is considered promotional furniture as well. Not the best stuff, but in the end, it all depends on how it is treated. Thanks for visting my site.

Ashley Furniture delivery men arrived at our home this morning and would not bring a bedroom set into the house unless we signed a damage waiver, exonerating them from all responsibility to our walls, floors, carpets and ceiling. This is both absurd and nowhere to be found in the purchase agreement or any other document that we received.

Our home was prepared for delivery in every respect, including the removal of a front entry storm door, all furnishings in the room and in route to the room. Even the dog (a mini schnauzer) was crated and fresh coffee was brewed for the delivery crew. However, their arrogant attitude and demand that a waiver be signed (which again, is nowhere to be found in any document that we received or signed) before the delivery could be made was too much. They never even unloaded the furniture. We called and requested a refund but got stonewalled by the store manager who tossed about a corporate run around. We thought Ashley Furniture could be trusted. We were terribly mistaken.

We spoke with three different customer service representatives and the store manager (a Mr. Micky May). All that we requested was a refund and closure of the account. All that we received was corporate shuffle. It was a most frustrating experience as we truly expected better.

E, all Ashley Homestores are run independent of the Ashley Furniture factory. Your restocking fee is commonplace in most furniture stores. Next time you consider buying anything and you have your doubts, give it 24 hours before you commit to the purchase. Some stores have you sign a contract and in it states you have a 3 day waiting period to be able to cancel with no penalties. But that is not always the time on contracts, some are less, some are more...it depends on the store really...If you did truly call the next morning and they won't cancel the restocking fee, my opinion is, you should talk to the manager and see if that works. Problem is, most sales associates are paid on commission and their time is very valuable, hence the restocking fee. You may not like it, but sometimes that's the way it is. Most sales people don't get paid by the hour, so when you are not really serious about buying something, don't commit to it unless you are absolutely sure you want the product. Time is money for most sales people and the consumer pays for it through restocking fees....thanks for visting the site...

It is absurd that Ashely?s would charge a 30% restocking fee for an item which is not in stock. We called the store the very next morning when we found out our money is basically ?hostage?. This is no way for a business to treat customers.

I have a sofa and console loveseat both with power recliners in them currently in layaway and haven't made my final payment yet or scheduled delivery. Both pieces are covered with durablend fabric and I am very nervous after reading so many complaints on Ashley Furniture and especially complaints about the durablend fabric peeling and cracking from normal use. Is this durablend of any quality or should I stay away from it completely? Thanks.

Well Chuck, I have sold a lot of the durablend and haven't had any problems with it at all. I would recommend not putting it in direct sunlight though. You need to be aware that all fabric is warranteed for one year as well as the power components of the pieces. Keep the pieces out of dryness too...the dryer the place, the more likely it is that it could crack. Take care of this stuff and it will last a good long while.
